Introduction to Plastiform

As a new Plastiform user, we highly recommend getting started with a Plastiform Case or a Kit to get all the required accessories to get started.

If you did not request them already, you can find them here:

Once done and received, you can start opening it and look at the specified instructions for use to get familiar with the application process.

Get a Validated Degreaser

Before anything else, you will need to degrease the part. (or anything else you want to replicate)

Grease can prevent the products from polymerizing properly and can reduce the accuracy of the impression.

Do NOT use Acetone to clean your surface as it is NOT compatible with the use of Plastiform products.

You must ALWAYS degrease the area to replicate, before every impression taking attempt.

To do so, you should use the DN1 Degreaser from the Kristal brand. It is included in every kit.

DN1 can’t be shipped in some countries. If you received a case or a kit without the degreaser, you should use another Plastiform validated degreaser, like :

DN1 Degreaser is a hazardous product. You should always wear protections before using it.

Just spray the degreaser on the area and let it evaporate by itself.

You are now ready to apply your product on the surface.
