The DB-50 is a battery-powered applicator gun designed for applying product in 50ml cartridges using a nozzle.
Fully compatible with the Plastiform range, it’s an intuitive tool for taking impressions with precision and dexterity. It is designed for 50mL cartridges only.
The DB-50 gun is lightweight and robust. His battery-powered application of Plastiform products is very easy to use, with a high control over the flow and ensure a precise and constant 1:1 mixing ratio, which is crucial for proper polymerization after injection.
Battery-powered application lets you manage the flow to prevent air bubbles. To achieve the correct mixing ratio, you must use the nozzles provided with the cartridge.
The battery can last around 8 hours (depending on the product’s resistance and usage, this indication might vary).
This accessory has long-term utility and is recommended to apply Plastiform products in 50ml cartridges. It is particularly useful for operators that take more than 10 impressions a day to prevent forearm discomfort.
The DB-50 should be used for any application involving a 50ml cartridge, except when you need some kind of automatic dispensing system.
To fit a cartridge to the gun :
Pull the metal tab outwards as far as it will go,
Position the cartridge by sliding it from the side,
Secure it by pushing the tab inwards,
Attach the nozzle to the cartridge and add a tip if necessary,
Adjust the speed with the button at the bottom of the gun,
Squeeze the trigger to mix the two components,
Take your impression after verifying the mixture is mixed properly.
Before using the Plastiform, don’t forget to clean the part with DN1 degreaser.

How to clean the injection material after taking the impression ?
You don't need to clean the material. The nozzle is going to trash and the tip is reusable after extracting the polymerized material inside it.
How to ensure that the products are properly mixed at the outlet of the mixing injector? Or during manual mixing?
At the end of the injector, or after manual mixing, the product must be well mixed to ensure uniform polymerization. If the mixture appears marbled, indicating that it is not homogeneous, set aside the non-homogeneous part until the mixture is correct. Once the mixture is homogeneous, you can proceed with the impression.
What are nozzles and tips used for?
The nozzle should be attached at the end of the cartridge, ensures that the two components of the plastiform mix homogeneously before application. It is a consumable item and must be replaced after each use. The tip, which is fitted at the end of the nozzle, reduces the flow rate. This is particularly recommended for fluid plastiforms to achieve optimal application accuracy, especially in fine details. The tip is reusable and can be cut to increase the flow if needed.
Are Plastiform products compatible with all types of metal alloys?
We always recommend carrying out a preliminary test to confirm that your alloy will not adhere to the product, as we have observed several cases of incompatibility with very specific alloys, although this is very rare.

Yes, anyone can use Plastiform products as long as they follow the instructions provided with each product. While no specific training is required, we strongly recommend adhering closely to the guidance in the technical documents.
