The DM-50 is a manual applicator gun designed for applying product in 50ml cartridges using a nozzle.
Fully compatible with the plastiform range, it’s an intuitive tool for taking impressions with precision and dexterity. It is designed for 50mL cartridges only.
The DM-50 gun is lightweight and robust, allowing for manual application of plastiform products with a high control over the flow and ensuring a precise and constant 1:1 mixing ratio, which is crucial for proper polymerization after injection.
Manual application lets you manage the flow to prevent air bubbles. To achieve the correct mixing ratio, you must use the nozzles provided with the cartridge.
The DM-50 is an essential tool for applying cartridge-based products. It is included in all plastiform cases and can also be purchased separately.
This accessory has long-term utility and is mandatory to apply plastiform products in 50ml cartridges.
Additionally, there is an pneumatic gun available for applying plastiforms in 50mL cartridges, offering a non-manual option for those who use it during a long period of time.
The DM-50 should be used for any application involving a 50ml cartridge, except when you need a pneumatic gun or some kind of automatic dispensing system.
To fit a cartridge to the gun :
Lift the black support at the top,
Pull the black tab outwards as far as it will go,
Position the cartridge,
Secure it with the black support and push the tab inwards,
Attach the nozzle to the cartridge and add a tip if necessary,
Squeeze the trigger to mix the two components,
Take your impression after verifying the mixture is mixed properly.
Before using the plastiform, don’t forget to clean the part with DN1 degreaser.

What’s the difference between manual, pneumatic and battery application guns?
Manual guns are simple and portable but can cause hand fatigue. Pneumatic guns provide consistent application and reduce fatigue, while battery guns offer portability and ease of use without manual effort.
Is it necessary to have a designated space set up for taking an impression?
While plastiforms are designed for use in metrology laboratories, they can be utilized in various environments such as workshops, outdoors, and on production lines. However, it is crucial to ensure that the area to be examined is properly cleaned and degreased to maintain the quality of the impression. We recommend using the degreaser DN1, a Plastiform-certified product, for optimal results.
What are nozzles and tips used for?
The nozzle should be attached at the end of the cartridge, ensures that the two components of the plastiform mix homogeneously before application. It is a consumable item and must be replaced after each use. The tip, which is fitted at the end of the nozzle, reduces the flow rate. This is particularly recommended for fluid plastiforms to achieve optimal application accuracy, especially in fine details. The tip is reusable and can be cut to increase the flow if needed.
How to clean the injection material after taking the impression ?
You don't need to clean the material. The nozzle is going to trash and the tip is reusable after extracting the polymerized material inside it.
How to ensure that the products are properly mixed at the outlet of the mixing injector? Or during manual mixing?
At the end of the injector, or after manual mixing, the product must be well mixed to ensure uniform polymerization. If the mixture appears marbled, indicating that it is not homogeneous, set aside the non-homogeneous part until the mixture is correct. Once the mixture is homogeneous, you can proceed with the impression.
How to correctly extract a Plastiform impression?
Plastiforms are highly precise, ensuring that once cured, they maintain perfect contact with the walls of the part, almost as if they are glued. To extract an impression: have a firm grip to pull energetically along the axis of the impression—twisting or unscrewing should be avoided. For this, it is essential to use demolding rings.
How to destroy prints after measurement?
Impressions can be thrown in the traditional waste.
What is the purpose of Plastin?
It is an industrial modeling clay that can be used as a replacement for conventional modeling clay. It is dedicated to industry, so it is permanently reusable and leaves no traces.
What is the purpose of the Double Blade Cutter?
The Cutter has been specially developed to facilitate the use of Plastiform impressions. It allows a slice to be cut in the axis of an impression in order to exploit its profile more easily on optical measuring instruments. It is customizable according to your needs.
