F04 Protect is a specialized protective product for gauges & cutting tools that prevents impact damage and corrosion.
This product is engineered to safeguard parts & fragile components by encasing them in a thick protective layer, effectively shielding surfaces from impacts. It also provides excellent protection against humidity and corrosion.
It maintains a pasty consistency for 20 seconds before starting to harden to a final flexible consistency.
At this stage it is no longer malleable and holds in place as close to the surface as possible, providing perfect protection and sealing. It is therefore easy to use to protect a large number of parts at the same time.
F04 Protect is used in conjunction with the ProMixR dispensing machine, but beyond that, it requires no additional installation or protective equipment for operators.
It’s important to note that F04 Protect is not intended for standard Plastiform applications, as it’s a specialized product within the range. Always consult a Plastiform expert to ensure it meets your specific requirements!
This product is used in conjunction with the ProMixR to protect fragile elements such as gauges, cutting tools, or any other parts that need protection.
To use it, you need Standard Nozzles and the ProMixR:
At the back of the ProMixR there are two connectors: A & B.
Plug the A component of F04 Protect (White label bottle) into the A connector.
Plug the B component of F04 Protect (Black label bottle) into the B connector.
Once done, attach a nozzle to the front of the ProMixR, just below the front-panel button.
Plug in the outlet of the ProMixR, and it is now ready to work.
Press either the front-panel button or the pedal switch to start dispensing the product.
You can either pour the product into one of the small cups provided with the F04 Protect or directly onto the element you want to protect.
The product will harden in less than 30 seconds. Ensure it covers the entire area to be protected, then set the part aside.
Repeat the operation for every part you need to protect.
Be careful, the product may harden inside the nozzle. If this happens, you will need to change the nozzle.

Are Plastiform products dangerous? Do they cause disturbances during use?
Plastiforms are safe to use; they are neither odorous nor irritating. However, we recommend using vinyl gloves as a precaution to avoid any potential risk. While no allergies have been reported thus far, we cannot entirely rule out the possibility. If you have any concerns, consult a doctor. For more detailed information, please refer to the Safety Data Sheet of the product.
Are Plastiform products sensitive to UV light?
No, our products are not sensitive to them in the short or medium term in their traditional use.
Are plastiforms considered polluting products?
Our products are neither polluting nor toxic. However, since the packaging and products themselves are made of plastic, they should be disposed of in traditional waste facilities and not left in natural environments.
Are the product or the chemical reaction dangerous?
All our products can be used safely without the need for protective equipment.
Are there any materials to which plastiforms cannot be applied?
It is possible to apply our products to any type of material and its alloys (including gold, silver, titanium). They can also be used on plastic materials, wood, resins, etc. However, certain silicone-based materials should be avoided, as they can sometimes alter the polymerization of the products. We always recommend a test before use.
At what temperature does the final impression begin to be altered?
Although plastiforms have been developed for use and measurement in metrological laboratories (20°C), they are not sensitive to changes in ambient temperature. However, above 120°C, the dimensions of the impression will be altered.
