Description
P80 Ra is a non-flowing (pasty) product that can be applied to hard-to-reach surfaces (vertical, overhanging, etc.). It creates Semi-Rigid replicas (hardness 80 Shore A), which cannot be deformed when demoulded. Replicas made in P80 Ra do not accept any Extraction Constraint (0%).
The P80 Ra has been specially developed for Roughness Control. The surface roughness is perfectly restored, and can be measured directly on the impression using a skidless roughness meter or optical inspection device. This plastiform is specially designed to restore the roughness of a surface and is a good indicator of Ra. If you are looking for values related to Rt or Rz, use a non-contact measuring device instead.
The P80 can also be used to create partial impressions on simple external shapes. The impression is very precise but cannot be subjected to an extraction stress. We do not recommend cutting the impression of this plastiform with the Double Blade Cutter because it is too rigid.

Applications
The P80 Ra is suitable for the following applications:
- Dimensional control of Simple External Forms
- Roughness control Ra
When applying P80 Ra to your surfaces, we recommend creating a thick impression with the flattest possible outer surface. By performing this operation it will be easier for you to perform your roughness measurements.
As with dimensional inspection and other applications, it is important to degrease at the area to be inspected before each application of the product.
Impression Measurement
To control the roughness of your part, we recommend the use of optical measuring systems (interferometer, laser, etc.). If you want to measure with a roughnessmeter, use a device without a skid.
The P80 Ra impression can be controlled without contact using visual measuring systems:
- Profile projector,
- Microscope,
- Optical measuring system.
Being rigid, it can also be controlled with a traditional contact measuring system (caliper, 3D measuring machine, Roughness meter, etc.)
The use of the Double Blade Cutter is not recommended with this plastiform.
Packaging :
Each product is delivered in 50mL cartridges, with standard injectors and nozzles.
